Mark Anderson serves as the Director of the Vintage Report. With the Vintage Report, Mark manages a network of thought leadership events that advance the use of technology and scientific understanding throughout the wine industry. Previously Mark worked for an international affairs consulting firm, securing market access for agricultural exports around the world. Mark has a degree from Wheaton College (MA) in international relations with a concentration in international political economy.

Gregory V. Jones is the Director of Wine Education and a professor and research climatologist in the Department of Environmental Studies at Linfield College. Professor Jones specializes in the study of climate structure and suitability for viticulture, and how climate variability and change influence grapevine growth, wine production and quality. He conducts applied research for the grape and wine industry in Oregon and many regions worldwide and has given hundreds of international, national, and regional presentations on climate and wine-related research. He is the author of numerous book chapters and other reports and articles on wine economics, grapevine phenology, site assessment methods for viticulture, climatological assessments of viticultural potential, and climate variability and change impacts on wine production.
Nova Cadamatre, MW

Nova Cadamatre was the first female winemaker in the US to achieve the title of Master of Wine and one of only a few American winemakers to do so. Currently she is the Senior Director of Winemaking in Napa for Constellation Brands based at the iconic Robert Mondavi Winery. In 2014, Cadamatre was named to Wine Enthusiasts Top 40 under 40 list and has numerous 90+ scoring wines to her credit. Originally from Greer, South Carolina, Cadamatre began her career in wine after moving to New York to pursue horticulture. As one of the first graduates of Cornell's Viticulture and Enology program in 2006, Nova relocated to California to assume a number of winemaking roles with many iconic wineries including Beringer, Chateau St. Jean, Chateau Souverain, and at Robert Mondavi Winery. There she was the red winemaker focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon from To Kalon Vineyard. Nova is a WSET Alumni, blogger, wine writer, Ningxia Winemaker Challenge contestant, and is active on social media.

Luca Brillante is Asst. Professor & Bronco Chair for Viticulture Research at CSU Fresno. His multidisciplinary research work focuses on improving management and profitability of viticulture through development and testing of new cultural practices, technologies, and machines.
Eric Herve, PhD

Eric Herve received his PhD from the University of Bordeaux in France, and has worked as a research scientist at ETS Laboratories since 1997. Eric has helped develop numerous analytical tools that allow growers and winemakers to assess grape and wine flavors, and to identify, trace, and prevent wine flaws or taints. These developments have included testing corks for “Releasable TCA” – a major breakthrough in the battle against cork taint – and the first report of eucalyptol in wines. At ETS, Eric supervises the development of new analysis methods, and assists growers and winemakers in their constant quest to harness the full potential of their grapes.

As Diam’s GM, Margot is a popular presence at wine trade shows known for his expertise and knowledge of technological cork closures for still wine, sparkling wine and spirits. Margot graduated from the ESSEC Business School in Paris and has an Agricultural Engineering degree from Angers in France as well as a winemaking certificate from University of California at Davis. Before joining DIAM Bouchage in 2004, Margot spent 12 years as a production and export manager in the French wine industry. Working with DIAM over the last 14 years, Margot has been deeply involved in the development of DIAM products and international market distribution (North America and Asia Pacific region). He is now located in San Francisco to better serve the region’s wine industry and strengthen the product education and presence of both Diam and Vivelys companies in the United States.

Laurent Fargeton is the Product Manager of "Oak and Cellar
Solutions" at Vivelys Boisé. After initial training at Bordeaux Sciences
Agro, Laurent went on to pursue a DNO from the Faculty of Oenology
of Bordeaux, and then successfully held positions as Director of the
Madiran Wine Union and Technical Manager of the Interprofessional
Committee for Southwestern Wines. In 2003, he joined Vivelys as a consultant representing southeastern
France, Rhône Valley and Burgundy, as well as in Central and Eastern
Europe. After moving up to project manager in 2008, Laurent
coordinated the development and market launch of Scalya and Cilyo
as innovative solutions for the control and management of wine
making and maturing processes.

Adam holds a PhD in Biology from Stanford, and later taught at Princeton. He brought his experience in agronomy, hydrology, and plant science to the creation of Arable. During his scientific career, Adam lived and researched in Russia, Africa, Europe, and East Asia, bringing a global perspective on the application of data to solving real-world problems. He believes that given the right tools, people can capably manage our world.

As the Oak Business Development Manager for G3, Galina Kirilova Seabrook possesses unique experience and expertise about winemaking and the utilization of oak. A native of Bulgaria, Galina started her professional career as a winemaker and has gained experience over the years making wines in Bulgaria, Australia and the United States. In 2000, she joined a team of innovative winemakers at Vinovation, a distributor of the first Micro-oxygenation (Mox) equipment. She would later become the U.S. manager and senior winemaker for Oenodev where she worked with dozens of California wineries overseeing the Mox treatments for thousands of wines. She would later join Intersave as an oak infusion specialist and in-house winemaker combining her winemaking knowledge and her Mox and oak alternative expertise. At G3, Galina is always available to share her expertise and insight on oak alternatives including Boisé and Phenesse Oak Alternatives.

Prior to joining UC Davis, Mason worked as a Data Science Engineer at Apple where he created new deep learning and computer vision tools within hardware engineering. During his post-doctoral and doctoral work, he advanced new computational techniques for 3D image processing, quantification, and coupled biophysical modeling of plants. By combining these computational techniques with custom physiological and ecological instrumentation, he provided insight into organismal CO2 diffusion and photosynthesis, H2O transport, and carbohydrate metabolism for species across the plant kingdom. As a faculty member in the Departments of Viticulture & Enology and Biological & Agricultural Engineering, Mason will build on this industry and academic experience to lead the Plant AI and Biophysics Lab.

Dr. Elisabeth Forrestel started as an Assistant Professor at University of California, Davis in the Dep’t of Viticulture and Enology in the fall of 2019. Her research program at Davis addresses questions about the evolutionary and ecophysiological basis of drought and heat responses in grapevine, and how irrigation practices mitigate stress responses.

Co-Founder of the Vintage Report, Thibaut brings his scientific expertise in viticulture and enology to the organization. He conceived the concept of the Vintage Report series to foster technical discussions around vintage effect while being respectful of local wine growing conditions. Throughout his scientific career, he has been exposed to numerous scientific and technical experts who imparted on him a desire to always learn more on the relationship between environmental stresses, vine and fruit physiological responses and its impact on wine quality. Having lived for 20 years in California Thibaut became inspired by the culture of open mindedness, clear communication and the power of social media to disseminate knowledge. Thibaut’s hope is that the Vintage report Series will continue to grow and contribute to disseminating reliable information within the wine industry. Ultimately, his objective is to benefit environmental resource management and help preserve the uniqueness of place and season as reflected by wine taste.
Will Drayton

Will Drayton is the Director of Technical Viticulture and Research Winemaking at Treasury Wine Estates (TWE), one of the world’s largest wine companies. Will joined TWE in 2008 as a Viticulture Intern at Etude Winery and has held many positions within the viticulture and winemaking groups.
In his current role, Will oversees the technical and scientific aspects of grape growing for their California operations, as well as their Sensory Science and Research Winemaking teams. He also is part of the committee that guides TWE’s Sustainability efforts across their global footprint of wineries and vineyards.
Will holds a Master’s degree from UC Davis in Horticulture and Agronomy and undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Will resides with his young family in Sebastopol, CA where he also runs a small cider company and orchard.
